Drawing Board Brewing Company's Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion:
To our community:
Drawing Board Brewing Company was founded around the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. We believe that every identity is valid and promise to take steps to prove this through our actions every day. We recognize that diversity within an organization is an asset, not a Human Resources check box. We believe in doing the right thing and being good people because it’s the right thing to do.
Gender based discrimination, sexism, sexual harassment, bullying, and intolerance are not acceptable behavior by anyone in the Drawing Board Brewing community—management, staff, or customers. If someone is making another feel uncomfortable, it will be dealt with.
Drawing Board Brewing Company fully believes that racism is a modern problem that needs to be addressed. While we can use our position and resources to help amplify voices, we understand that we can not be THE solution. To our community, we pledge to be PART of the solution by not contributing to organizations, businesses, or causes that help to perpetuate racism.
Most importantly, we do not claim to be perfect. We promise to be easily approachable, and receptive to criticism. We understand that due to our own personal backgrounds, we have blind spots that cannot be worked upon unless someone points them out. The management and staff of Drawing Board Brewing Company will take steps to work on these blind spots as they are identified, and we challenge our guests to do the same. We hope to never add to the pain and suffering of others, but if we do, we will provide a meaningful and sincere apology and take steps to mitigate future transgressions.
This policy is far from complete. As we all go through the journey of self-betterment, management will update our code of conduct and community norms and make them readily available to our staff and guests. If you have any norms you feel should be added to this, please feel free to reach out in whatever way is most comfortable to you!
Cheers,
Corey and Tonka Lynch

Drawing Board Brewing Company Commitment to Sustainability:
The brewing industry is incredibly resource heavy. Drawing Board Brewing Company is dedicated to taking steps to reduce our foot print as much as possible. Take a look at some of our sustainability initiatives we have going on! We know these won't save the world, but they are simple steps we can take to make it just a little bit better.
Pak-Tech four pack rings:Though Pak-tech four pack rings are marked as recyclable, in practice, they rarely make it through a sorting facility, and end up in a landfill or an incinerator. As a way to decrease the footprint of our brewery, Drawing Board would like to announce that we are accepting four pack rings for reuse! Bring your collection by the brewery when picking up a four pack or two, or drop them in our orange collection bucket on the back patio during the week.

100% of our four pack rings are reused! No new single use plastic rings have been produced for Drawing Board!
Spent Grain "Disposal":
After brew day is complete, we are left with buckets of spent grain. A typical brew day can generate over 100 pounds of hot wet grains that are difficult to dispose of. Even after used during the brew day, and all the fermentable sugars have been extracted, spent grains still have a number of uses. At Drawing Board, we try and get the most out of everything we do, so we have partnered with a number of area farms and businesses to get a second life out of what otherwise would have been waste.
Brew Biscuits
We have a really cool opportunity to work with a local company that wants to take our spent grain and turn it into treats for your best friend. They take grain from one of our mainstay beers (Julka) and transforms it into delicious, nutritious, and most importantly, formula TESTED treats that will leave your dog begging for more. Now you and you buddy can enjoy a brew together from Drawing Board.
Note: treats only contain grain from the brewery. No hops or alcohol is present in these treats.

Livingstone Mycology
Livingtone Mycology approached as with a really cool request. They are looking for approximately 1-2 bucket of spent grain per week to use as growth media for their new mushroom farm! We got to talking (maybe half joking). We started chatting about a potential beer/mushroom collaboration. It turns out enzymes in mushrooms have been shown to have surprisingly high clarifying properties in beer! We are definitely going to play around with these properties at a smaller scale, but we hope to bring this practice to the brewery in the future!

Vollinger Farm
Vollinger Farm is a small farm located right here in Florence MA. Whatever is left from our spent grains and seasonal décor (pumpkins etc) is sent on over to the farm to be fed to the cows. Aside from their cows, Vollinger Farm seasonally has hay, corn stalks, mums, straw, decorative corn, gourds, and pumpkins available to purchase at their farm stands
